What I can tell is that I really like working with him! He's helped me find the right words for what I'm actually trying to say (which especially helps when English isn't your first language) and make it sound natural for my draft.
By making you aware of what sounds odd in your draft and giving you time to process and think of something, I'd say he actively helps not only to improve the draft but also to help YOU improve things by yourself afterwards! (Which I think is the most important thing too because else you get everything told to write down and change and you'll never know why that edit is done)
